Can you feel the heat of Africa and the proudness of her beautiful people?
This bag is very much made as one of my wallhangings, started with a painting and then adding embroidery
The background, sky and ground, trees, huts and people in orange dresses are painted.
The Masai woman and baby in the foreground was then machine embroidered in photo-stitch.
The details in the background (huts, people and trees) was filled in with free motion stitches and it was all layered with a thin wadding and quilted.
The front of the bag is all about the picture but the back has 3 pockets, one of them zipped and one closes with velcro.
Both sides have little pockets, you can see them just below where the zip ends in the pictures. The inside have several pockets too. One side have a zipped pocket, and pocket sized for pens and mobilephone, the other side have one big room pocket that closes with a small press button with 2 smaller pockets in front and holder for keyring.
The bag closes with double zips that meet in the centre.

Front, side with pocket and the double zip that opens up the bag wide.
The back of the bag, quilted with a zipped large pocket and 2 smaller. All pockets are lined with the same fabric as the inside of the bag.
